The First Fort Folk Fest Was a Hit!
On Friday, June 20, the Friends of Fort DuPont hosted the first-ever Fort Folk Fest at the Fort DuPont Pavilion. More than 30 people joined us for an evening of music, food, and community.
The weather was perfect. Clear skies and warm summer air made it the ideal night to enjoy live music outdoors. The event was free, family-friendly, and full of energy.
Our featured performer was Bruce Anthony, a jazz guitarist and vocalist known across Delaware. His smooth voice and expert guitar skills created a relaxed, feel-good vibe. Bruce grew up in Chester, PA, and has been performing in the region for over 30 years. He now lives in Bellefonte and continues to share his soulful sound with audiences across the area.
Guests didn’t just enjoy the music — they also loved the food! Local favorite Bailey’s Dawgs was on-site serving hot dogs and snacks. The combination of great tunes and good eats made the evening special for everyone.
Fort Folk Fest is part of our mission to bring free, community-focused programming to the historic Fort DuPont campus. We believe music, culture, and public spaces bring people together — and this night proved it.
🎶 Thank you to everyone who came out and helped kick off this new tradition.
