ShakesBEER at the Fort Was a Hit!
There’s nothing quite like a summer night at Fort DuPont—especially when it includes Shakespeare and local craft beer.
Our latest ShakesBEER at the Fort event was a huge success. We welcomed 52 guests to enjoy live theater by Shakespeare Delaware and cold brews from Bellefonte Brewing Company. It was a perfect mix of history, humor, and hops.
Set on the historic Parade Ground, the performance combined classic drama with modern flair. Laughter echoed across the lawn as friends, families, and first-time visitors settled in with blankets and lawn chairs. Many were seeing Shakespeare outdoors for the first time—and they loved it.
The setting couldn’t have been better. Fort DuPont’s historic charm and peaceful green space created the perfect backdrop. Guests explored the grounds, chatted with neighbors, and enjoyed great local food from our visiting food trucks.
Bellefonte Brewing Company served up craft beer favorites, adding local flavor to the night. Their partnership made the evening feel festive and fun.
The event ended with a standing ovation and one big question: “When’s the next one?”
