DESCRIPTION:Join the Delaware City and Polktown community for the Delaware City Juneteenth Celebration on Friday\, June 19\, 2026\, with a full day of remembrance\, culture\, history\, and community. \nThe day begins at 10:00 a.m. with a Juneteenth Commemorative Service at the African Union Church Cemetery\, honoring the history\, legacy\, and significance of Juneteenth. From noon to 8:00 p.m.\, the celebration continues at Delaware City Battery Park with a Black-Owned Businesses and Organizations Cultural Expo\, featuring vendors\, community organizations\, music\, line dancing\, and opportunities to support Black-owned businesses. \nThe evening concludes with a live R&B and soul performance by Best Kept Soul from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Battery Park Gazebo. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or a lawn blanket. In the event of rain\, the performance will move to the Delaware City Community Center. \nThis June 19 celebration is part of a larger series of Delaware City Juneteenth events taking place throughout May and June.
